Who will be top players in the future, especially freshmen. I know Connor Beckwith is a beast on D for Mercer, but what other Frosh in the state, both D1 and D2, do you all think will be future stars?

Looks like the game got rescheduled to the 30th. What happened? It was going to be a good game.

Why does everyone hate Mercer Island and Bainbridge Island. I know a lot of people on both teams and everyone is chill. Is it because they are one of the best every year? or is it because they won a lot of state championship?

So the 'islands; meet tomorrow at Mercer Island 8pm.  Let the guessing begin.  Tell us the following info and most accurate will get a Walax beanie.
Who'll win?
Score?
Highest scorer on each team and how many they get?

A quick forum topic to update everyone with latest scores.

How does everyone feel about the outcome of the North County Tournament? Besides the fact that there was no championship due to forfit.

We'll be out at games providing photos and game write-ups for youth and HS boys games this season.  If there is a game you'd like to see on the site, let us know here!

Based on the games we attend, we'll again be awarding a Player of the Week and Player of the Year award.  Each weekly winner will receive a Walax beanie and our Player of the Year will get something special to be announced later.  So if you want to see your name in the write-ups tell us here and maybe you'll see us at the game!

Who's the best face offs in D1?? Anyone know?

A debate has been growing over the last couple of years and has come to a head in the last couple of weeks regarding the use of long sticks in 5th and 6th grade Lacrosse.  One side of the argument suggests having the tool in a young player's hands will make them more likely to develop bad habits of slashing, etc. as well as prevent offensive players from becoming comfortable from a young age in an offense.

Who will be the key players for next years team?
I believe -

Bainbridge - Dylan Masi, Max Olsen, Gilbreath Bros. (ughh too many...)

Issaquah - Alex Bates, Nick Yaap

Mercer Island - Greg Mahoney

As you know, the new HS Boys D1 format has each team playing each other just once.  In previous years we've seen some very pivotal and close games where the 'home crowd' has seemed to have made the difference.  So with just one game it seems the home team advantage is going to be even more valuable this year.

As Lynnwood, Skyline and Eastlake are moving to D1 for 07 who'll step up to take their places.  What are your predictions for the 2007 season?

Can anyteam in Division 1 win all 14 reular season games, and then sweep three in the playoffs? Or is there a possibility of a let down due to the amount of pressure each game will now have being that you won't get a second shot if you lose to someone.

Inside lacrosse this month is running a feature article on the fact that US lax is trying to increase tournament play at this level to elevate the level of lax being played at this age. But the Washington Board has decided that Washington middle schoolers don't deserve to have a state tournament, because it's too competative.
