Can anyone run the table next year, 17-0!

Boy's Leagues

Can anyteam in Division 1 win all 14 reular season games, and then sweep three in the playoffs? Or is there a possibility of a let down due to the amount of pressure each game will now have being that you won't get a second shot if you lose to someone. This should make the league even more interesting. Better yet, do you even like the new set up? Or would you rather see three five team divisions? any thoughts?

Bainbridge

I think Bainbridge can sweep the regular season games...but once playoffs come around...you don't know what will happen...for instance last year, no. 4 (I think...) Mercer Island beat no. 1 Bainbridge and no. 3 Issaquah beat no. 2 Garfield...so playoffs are a different story..

?

What's the new setup?

The new format

HS Boys Division 1 has eliminated the conferences.  With the 3 D2 teams moving up (Eastlake, Skyline and Lynnwood) they'll now be 15 teams. As we reported a while back, Nathan Hale is moving to D2 for this coming season.

D2 has a number of new changes and teams this coming year.  They've lost 3 teams to D1 and gained one in return. In addition the Tacoma has split into 1 programs and will be joined by at least another 3 or 4.  Details haven't been fully finalized for D2 yet will be in the not too distant future.

Generally it looks to be really interesting to see how the new D1 format is going to work as Laxman mentioned and also how the new teams will fair in D2 with the existing clubs.

The New Format

With 15 teams in Division 1, each team will play a 14 game regular season meeting each Division 1 team once. At the end of the regular season, the top 8 teams will advance to the playoffs. No more home and away within your own conference. Should be an exciting year. I think if will be difficult to run the table,

Does any one have a list of the 15 teams playing?
