Actually

I believe Curtis took 7th and Vashon took 8th, due to goal differential.

I thought Curtis took 7th

I thought Curtis took 7th and MV**** took 8th

sorry i said vashon earlier.

read the write-up

actually, Curtis is 8th, and Maple Valley is 7th due to the fact that MV won head-to-head, and the goal differential was only to determine the tie-break.  After that, it is head to head between the two remaining teams.  Amazing parity between the three teams tonight though.

Different Interpretation

"WINNER: Best Goal Differential at the end of all three mini games wins tie-break.
If two teams still tied, head-to-head result breaks tie
If all three teams still tied, team scoring most goals overall wins tie-break
(if two teams tied, revert back to two team tie-break)"
--The teams were not STILL tied after the Best Goal Differential tie-break: Curtis +2, MV Even, Skyline -2. The Head-to-Head tie-break only comes in to play if the goal differential is tied. Should be Curtis 7th, MV 8th. I don't think the rules were applied correctly.

actually..

Maple Valley took 7th and Curtis took 8th. Vashon wasn't in the play-off

MV take 7th, Curtis takes 8th

Maple Valley and Curtis come out on top tonight after the 3 way tie.  We have all 3 of the game writeups coming soon.

do any DII teams put in the

do any DII teams put in the young guys or do they just build stats? It would be interesting to see how many teams actually pull out the big guns in third and fourth quarters...24-1 give me a break, that is ridiculous! 4 players shared 18 goals for Puyallup, snohomish does the same thing! when does sportsmanship come into play?

Jealousy much?

i think biglax is jealous he cant score.... simple as that

He who plays for Puyallup should be ashamed!

I dont know what Puyallup was trying to prove with that score, because if I was on the committee for deciding possible DI teams for the future Puyallup would have just moved down on the list.

The sole purpose of DII is for a team to improve their lacrosse skills, not get destroyed by a bunch of snobs who think they got game. Well guess what, you (puyallup) are in DII for a reason, and that score exemplifies it.

Show some decency, respect, and machurity.

Ashamed of what?

Allright man, lets just calm down and be MACHURE about this.

First of all, lets break down the scoring in the Puyallup vs. North Kitsap game. In the first quarter, Puyallup scored 12 of their 24 goals. This means that Puyallup obviously took it easy after the first quarter because they did not score nearly as many goals per quarter later in the game.

Also, Puyallup had a jv game on that same day, so there were very few young players at the varsity game. The Puyallup starters obviously showed restraint since they were in the entire game with no jv replacements.

And what is with the name calling? How are the Puyallup players "snobs?" Did it ever occur to you that they might just be really good?

How can you say that Puyallup thinks "they got game?" They have a 10-2 record and they are in the playoffs. I would call that "game."

Finally, you're right, Puyallup is in Division II for a reason, but the reason has nothing to do with any scores. It is because they are only a second year team. With only one full season as a program and one senior this year, how could they be D1 yet?

If you are going to rip on someone about a score, at least get your facts straight and show a little class.

Puyallup to prove??

This is the first forum that I have read so far this season that has been such a name calling, non-factual discussion.
Hiding behind a forum and calling others names is obviously MACHURITY and DECENCY and your team should not be ashamed of you???

N. Kitsap obviously has a great group of spirited guy's on their team and they continue to play hard. N. Kitsap also does not give these scores away, they are worked hard for and that is how you develop skills.

You need to re-look at the schedule and scores of games already played before you write something so MACHURE, or at least write the real reason behind your frustration towards another team.

I agree

And if you are going to make fun of the way he spelled maturity, don't. He was making a new word to say that Puyallup needs machoness and maturity. Thus, machurity.

(nod of head)

exactly

here is the BIG difference

Tacoma just won 22-0 over s. kitsap...BUT, the big diference here is that 11 different players scored for Tacoma, showing that they had a lot of youth and bench guys contribute. IF you are going to win big and be classy about it, that is how to do it. not pad your stats for all state, because hopefully coaches look at who you scored your goals against, not just how many you had.

Big difference - or NO difference

Out of those 11 Tacoma players, 8 of them scored in the game they played against N. Kitsap so you are saying 3 players means they had a lot of "youth" and bench the guy's that contribute??
Puyallup, out of those 9 players that scored in the N. Kitsap game, 3 of those players are not padding stats as you call it and you may want to look this up first. So classy it may be for PUYALLUP!!

Tacoma is no different than Puyallup when it comes to being classy!

What you have going on here is not about machurity, it is simply jealousy.

9 people scored for

9 people scored for puyallup....

I am a lacrosse fan, not a

I am a lacrosse fan, not a player...I have no kids that play, so I am not jealous of anything, the point is what does it teach N. Kitsap when you score 24 times and don't pull the breaks? How do you think they feel? Whether or not there was a JV game, you can still slow down the game. like I said 24 is ridiculous, no class. when four guys score the majority of your goals (18) that means you DID NOT slow anything down, if the scoring was done by 8 or 9 guys and more even, than it would be a little better, but using N. Kitsap and other teams like them as stat builders is ludacris! enough said!

hmmm

But no one complains about these games:
Mercer Island defeats Eastlake 19-5
skyline 17 eastside 2
Bellevue 13 Lynnwood 1
Northshore 2 Snohomish 17
Overlake 18, Mt. Rainier 2
Curtis 15, Lakeside 2
Puyallup 16, Franklin 1
Snohomish 16, North County 4
Eastlake totaled Lynnwood 17-4
Bainbridge defeated Skyline 13-2
Mercer over Lakeside 19-2
San Juan 0 - Snohomish 23
Puyallup 24, South Kitsap 0
Snohomish 17, Whatcom 3
BI defeats Prep 22-6

And that's just a sample from this season. Come on guys, it's high school sports, blow outs will happen. Suck it up

DI aside, I am talking DII

DI aside, I am talking DII only...and I did say that snohomish does the same thing. But if you look, Snohomish beat a team that is 7-2 (northshore) 17-2. They did it once, to san juan, 23-0. I said that was ridiculous too, the main point is to pull up the brakes a little bit. Puyallup had 18 goals of thier 24 by their main scorers. While Tacoma's main scorers only had 5 goals in a 22-0 win. BIG DIFFERENCE. So my facts are checked, I am not jealous of anything, I have nothing to be jealous of. Can Puyallup guys play, yes, they are good, I never said they weren't. But Tacoma is winning the right way!

glad somebody notices

I glad people actually take notice to this fact. More importantly than who the scorers are, take a look at the game notes on sportability and you will notice that in those blowouts, the majority of Tacoma's goals are scored in the first half. Obviously this means that the bench is getting emptied in the second half so everyone is getting some playing time.

calm down

there was a JV game the same day as the n. kitsap game, so no JV players could even go.
