Seattle Starz start off strong!

Forty Four Seattle Starz  varsity players headed to the Sonoma Shootout today with the hope of bettering their 2nd place finish last year.  Accompanying them were teams from the Oregon Starz and also a team from Bainbridge Island going under the name of Team Kavu.  We'll be following their progress and bringing player spotlights to highlight some of the best talent in our region.

The Seattle Starz started their trip off in strong fashion with a 2-0 record, one against Team Kavu taking a strong 15-1 victory and the other over Starz Oregon B.

For those unfamiliar with the Sonoma Shootout, it's 'the' recruiting camp on the West Coast.  Started just a few short years ago this camp has grown from just a handful of teams in it's first year to over 40 this year.  These teams will be closely watched by a large number of college recruiters from some of the top colleges in the country.

Stay tuned for those daily updates on our local players.
