ET phoned home!

One of our home boys, Eric Timmerick phoned phone with this update from Team Ireland.

Over the past few days we have beaten Hong Kong (19-4), Italy (15-7), Scotland (16-9), and Wales (12-4). As of today we have officially won our group going 4 - 0. Winning the group means that we will play Australia tomorrow for a chance to advance to the medal round. Australia is a huge lacrosse powerhouse so this is going to be a really tough game.

No team has ever come out of a lower group to beat one of the top 4 teams - we're going to do our best to be the first to do it. Tomorrow seems like as good a day as any for a miracle so we're hoping to beat the massively unfriendly odds and steal one from the Aussies.

We play Australia tomorrow at 12:30 in the main stadium and there should be
a decent sized crowd. For the past few days the temperature has been somewhere between "Way to hot" and "I think I smell BBQ" but the temperature on the main stadium turf is usually 15 degrees (Fahrenheit) hotter than anywhere else so we'll be cooking.

If you have any good luck socks, now is the time to put them on. If you know of any evil curses, now is the time to change the water in the Australian Team's water bottles into Drambuie.
