Championship Day Feedback

General

It's been a great day at Memorial Stadium so far and we hope everyone has had a great time.  Tell us what you loved about the championships, what you didn't like and what great ideas you have for making it better next year.

WE WILL SAY THIS ONE MORE TIME....

Please keep the insults under control.  We don't want to delete posts or  this forum topic. These boards are for the community and we try not to interfere as we believe the community does a pretty good job of policing the board by keeping other users in check. We understand that there is some banter coming from this season that people need to get off their chests BUT keep it clean, keep it fair and don't make it personal.   Otherwise we will be forced to delete this forum topic-help us out.

As another reminder, this topic was created this to get positive and negative feedback about the Championships themselves.

To DipSet,
That is just a stupid comment. While MI may have a good lacrosse team, one thing that it has going for itself, even more than lacrosse, is a group of really smart and driven players who are all great guys even off the field. The varsity team alone has three national merit scholars on it, more than one player attending Ivy League schools next year, a combined GPA of over 3.5, and is one of the most liked and admired athletic teams at Mercer Island High School, a school that loves its sports (so that is saying a lot). So before you shoot off your mouth because you are mad that you didn't win, whether it was in the championship, semi-finals, or just sometime in the regular season, do your research before you make groundless and stupid remarks that just make you look like an idiot. Stick to lacrosse, because clearly arguing and proving a point are things that you definitely aren't good at, which from the way it sounds, can be added to a long list of other things.

Ignorant Ramblings from an obvious troll

I suggest you visit your local grocery store and see if you find any MI grads bagging groceries. More likely you will find them as Dr's, lawyers, engineers, business leaders, etc. It was a great championship game. Both teams played well to the end. I am part of "the entire state of Washington" and am not from MI, but know that those players will be winners for the rest of their successful lives.
P.S. remember kids, don't feed the trolls.

Wow, sour grapes

Why not let them enjoy the victory? Its a game! Ya win some, ya lose some...

i didn't like that mercer

i didn't like that mercer won. That was dissapointing.

I agree

both teams did a wonderful job. but i cant help but feel that issaquah wanted it more, or were maybe more deserving. i was dissapointed

Define Deserving

How can you say that Issaquah was more deserving? I'm not saying that they were not deserving. I think all of the final four teams were very deserving. Only one goal separated each of these teams in the end. But the fact remains that I'm eating cheerios out of the state cup right now. Who deserves it most is determined by who wins it. MI struggled through a tough year and deserved to come out on top. Issy taught us a valuable lesson in our first game which helped us tremendously in the final game: Its not over till the horn sounds and the fat troll cries.

alright...

Alright, i take it back. all the teams were truly deserving. i dont mean to be insulting but you don't need to say that you're eating cheerios out of the cup. that great for you but, i dont care. It was a truly great game. oh, did you happen to see what some of the MI girls shirts said?

MI Girls Shirts

Jon, Nick and I were wondering what they said...

FYI donesnt = for your information

F Y I to mercer ment F*** You Issaquah.

all i can say is that i did my part for good sportsmanship!

Cheerios?

Cheerios out of the cup? I can think of a lot of things that would taste better in a Championship Cup...

haha we have the cup

I'm sitting on the shores of beautiful lake washington right now with the well deserving mercer island varsity squad. We are reveling in our well deserved victory. The cup is glowing in the gorgeous sunset with a beautiful reflection appearing right above the previous two state championship plaques.  Thank you so much issy for such a good game. Thank you to the entire state of washington for writing us off from week one. We couldn't have done it without all of your motivation. Sincerely, The men of MI Lax
