A most unselfish team
Sometime ago a friend of mine introduced me to a men’s lacrosse team called, “Rusty Bones” who are having a far reaching impact on their local community and to the sport of lacrosse itself.
When I visited their web site at www.RustyBonesLAX.com the first thing I noticed was their “evil-looking” logo. Upon closer examination I realized their logo is only façade of who they really are. I was fascinated how these “old boys,” while acting as a team are helping people in need. Their community outreach has earned them recognition from their local and state governments! But, what I find more amazing is how local businesses are giving to them! For example, the local brewery provides at no cost, a well manicured field for this team to use as a home field. The local lacrosse retailers give them substantial discounts on equipment purchases. Other businesses have contributed to their efforts as well.
What I have learned the most from this team is they have discovered that local business want to be associated them in doing so, this association has had a positive influence on their business. In this capacity everyone wins!
I share this story with you because I have benefited by duplicating what they have done and I trust that you’ll share it with others! In these tough economic times I believe Rusty Bones has found something that will help many people, local businesses and the lacrosse community itself.
When searching the web I found that even the Aussie's give mentions to them on the "Lacrosse Australia" web site.
I believe these "old Boys" have the right idea!
