Baltimore, MD – Due to a recent misinterpretation of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Rules by a few referees, coaches and retailers, the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee issued the attached release concerning STX’s Crankshaft and the heads intended to be sold with the Crankshaft. The Ducks kicked off the 2006 season with a 21 to 8 win over Stanford on Saturday followed by a defeat of the Boise State Broncos, 22 to 4, on Sunday.  The Ducks showed great athleticism and their offensive movement opened up many opportunities for goals in the middle, while the defense displayed signs of depth and aggressiveness on ball.  Both Stanford and Boise State played hard and showed great promise as their programs continue to build.
