North County vs. Lynnwood - recap
Another meeting between North County and Lynwood on a beautiful day for Lacrosse. The first goal is scored by Alex Burns with 8:51 left in the first quarter, answered only a few seconds later by North County's Channing Morrison. Bloomquist scores on a feed from Girgus with 6:18 left in the first. North County scored their only goal early in the first. With 1:30 left in the first quarter Girgus has the favor returned on a feed from Bloomquist and the score is 3-1. Just a short step into the second quarter, alex Burns feeds Bloomquist for number 4. Lynnwood is shooting consistantly and scoring with ball movement. With over 8 minutes left in the 2nd, Bloomquist takes a solo ride scoring number 5 on a keeper who is getting a lot of inside shots. Girgus takes the wheel and pounds in another late in the secomnd to make the score 6-1. At Halftime, no change in score. Girgus starts the fire in the third quarter with a man-up goal with 10:30 left on the clock thanks to NC persnal and offsides making the score 7-1. On some great transition and leg speed by Alex Burns, he feeds Curtis Wisser for number 8 two minutes later. After receiving a slashing behind the crease, Tupper fed Scott Hersman for another score for North County making the score 8-2 Lynnwod. There seems to be more battling as the game gets more physical, but every time NC gets close to the cage, they seem to get a crease violation. On a man-up caused by another slash, lynnwood's Girgus rings the bell for number 9 and his fourth with 9 minutes left. Lynnwod take another shot on cage delivering another score from Girgus hitting Curtis Wisser for his second and the team's tenth. Lynnwood and North County are getting more physical in the ground ball battle. Both teams have collected over 40 ground balls, and both continue fighting for possession. With 5 minutes left in the game, Lynnwood calls a time-out and begins working on possession time. The game expires with the score remaining 10-2 Lynnwood.
