Issaquah player Chandler Balkman involved in a terrible accident

One thing we have learned over the years is that Washington has a very strong and supportive lacrosse community that always pulls together.  No matter what team you play for or who you support during the season I know you'll join us in offering your prayers and support to Chandler and his family.

Late on Thursday evening (August 3rd) Chandler was involved in an accident on Lake Sammamish.  He was out swimming with his dad when he was hit by a boat.  Chandler suffered severe injuries to his right thigh and pelvis which unfortunately has led to his right leg being amputated.  He is currently in ICU at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

His family have set up a website to keep family, friends and well wishers up to date with Chandlers progress.  This site will also give you contact information if you wish to contact the family and offer your assistance.

Our heart goes out to Chandler and his family and we ask you to keep him in your thoughts and prayers in the hope of a speedy recovery.
