By halftime, Prep was ahead 7 – 2. The second half was much like the second quarter. Prep dominated the ground balls and face offs, and the tempo of the game. Impressively, both teams played hard until the end, with the final score being 14 – 5. Some notables for Prep were Nick Richey, Erik Demaree, and David Schoettler who all contributed in the scoring department.
For Eastside, goalie John Olin played very well against a dominant Prep offense. Suffering a thumb injury early on in the season, Prep's goalie Mikey Travers played one quarter in his first game back from the sidelines. The player of the game was quick junior attackman Sam Bernoski. Bernoski led prep with five goals and an assist. Both teams have tough weeks ahead of them. Eastside faces Vashon and Maple Valley while Prep has back to back games against Issaquah and Bainbridge.
