Photos from the Battle of Bothell are now being posted for viewing/purchase in the NW Lacrosse Gallery of www.jamkphotography.com.

Glad you all had fun.

Thanks to all the teams for participating in the Battle of Bothell. This was for you. I am glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves. Thanks to the officials who kept the games flowing. Thanks to Dave Anderson and his travelling BBQ. Thanks to NW Design for the shirts. And finally, when you see my wife, thank her for the wonderful job she did keeping me in line; she had as big a part in the success of the Battle of Bothell as I did.

The winners were Navajo in the HS division, defeating a strong Issaquah team. In the 7/8 division, Mercer Island stormed back from a 3-2 halftime deficit to take the game 5-2. Lastly, in the 5/6 division, Beaverton was up 3-1 over Lake Oswego before I had to call the game for an injury. My understanding from the coaches is that Beaverton has won this round.

The Lake Oswego player who won a ride in an aide car turned out to be fine.

Hope you all will come back next year. Thanks for coming. Stan

lynnwood high school beat

lynnwood high school beat bellevue 5-0 and beat bainbridge 10-0...but standings i dont know

Results

Anyone know who the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers were from each division?

recap coming later today... and pictures

High School champion was Navajo, Middle School was Mercer Island, and youth was Bellevue I believe.  We will have a complete recap of the tourney later with pictures.

who?

Navajo, what kind of a team is that. did actual indians come and play in the tournament or something? haha

Navajo

It was a team comprised of players from Curtis, Maple Valley, Vashon and Puyallup.

really now?

wait a sec, so you are telling me that a team comprised of players from those schools beat teams like issaquah and bellvue. thats pretty amazing and its got to be some reality check for those other players from issy and stuff actually. props to the navajo team for winning.

Navajo

Yeah I heard that team had a bunch of Pokemon names and random numbers such as 1/2.

Usually I would think that a team such as that is too flashy, but it seems like they have a right to be.

Good job Navajo.

Hey Sirlaxalot, you should really look into those guys, I heard they had a stellar attack.

Psh

They were probably all seniors of course they would win!

As CurtisLax25 said, all of the players were Freshman and Sophomores (and one 8th grader).

Wow I'm amazed of how a team with such young players could easily beat teams like Bellvue and Issiquah.

actually..

all of us were freshmen or sophmores this season
