You guys can talk all the smack you want about one another, but if you played any plus .500 team in the real division, I doubt your egos would be so boisterous. Lynnwood, Eastlake, Tacoma, Skyline, thats you guys.

I regret to inform you that putting eastlake on that list isn't neccesarily right. We play Issy this friday, and then MI on saturday, so before you say we're talking smack about how we're "sooooo good" (which i dont see any one from our team saying anything, so i dont know why you dragged us into it), just look at our scheduals please

I thought it was a good game and both teams played well. But someone on the other team said this and it doesn't make any sense.

How is lacking players any less "legitimate" then some players not attending practice and not having played on turf before?

greatest- Honestly have you seen the comments no one said anything about the legitimacy of your team's excuses. They were simply showing that we had problems too, but the difference is you don't see us complaining. All in all it was a good game, but dont expect players to throw insults out and not hear something back.
teresius- I see all this talk about the "Real Division" and how D2 is immature with our comments. First off, that is the most hypocritical thing I have ever read. How is discrediting a whole division not talking smack? Our comments are not cocky at all, their confidence based on proven ability. Put Tacoma in the "REAL Division" and we'll show ya alls whats REALLY good.

I never spoke of immaturity, I spoke of skill. Im saying that Division 2 hasn't been strong since the 2004 season. I don't mean to be rude, but obviously your coach didn't think you could compete with the best because he didn't schedule any of the top opponents. Oh, and how do you think that you've proven yourself? I havent done much browsing of the D2 standings, but I will do a little research for you. Also, I think it would be wise for you to watch a good division one game before you start legitimizing yourself...

You didn't have to say D2 was immature, the way you condescended us says it all. Cocky (as you said) is over self-confidence caused by immaturity, we simply know our talent. Any past childish comments made by Tacoma were made in defense to ignorant statements. Now if you don't mean to be rude, then don't come off as rude. Saying we are not a real division is rude. With a new coach and many new players how are we supposed to be scheduled against top opponents, but if it was my call we would have. To excuse our ability based on the skills of our opponents is just naive, if you do that research you'll find the top teams aren't only winning they are dominating. I think it would be wise for you to watch a good Tacoma, Lynnwood, Eastlake game before you discredit us and our division.

One question, what team do YOU play for?? (i have no doubt that it is someone like Hale or Roosevelt)

After watching the quality of play of the d2 state championship last year i have no doubt that any D2 team would get handled by Hale or Roosevelt. The two best teams in D2 state last year could barely catch and throw! One of those teams, Vashon, moved up to exhaust and beat MI! I dont understand after losing Vashon to D1 you can even make the statement that D2 has ANY business going up against a D1 squad unless its their JV program.
Furthermore, it used to be that D2 all state teams could at least compete with D1 all state teams but sadly this is no longer the case with players such as Sam Masters making all state attack last year.
So Teiserius is right, D2 has sucked since 2004 when Issaquah dominated BI and Prep, Garfield killed Prep and Lakeside, and Roosevelt thrashed Hale. This is not a matter of condescension -- programs take time to build -- it is simple fact.
By the way i heard Teiserius plays for Issaquah and is going to a top d3 school next year.

hey, im sorry about the comment i made last night. i was just kind of worked up that he was pretty much discrediting the entire D2. I agree that D2 as a whole sucks this year, but were really not as bad as you guys think, IMO

Hey man, just so you know, after playing Skyline earlier in the week, Tacoma is playing Curtis on Friday, so if you really want to see us play, i suggest your attendance.

So much has been said about this Tacoma vs. Skyline matchup, almost to the point that its going overboard. Through Walax, this has become a heated rivalry.
However, the game between Tacoma and Skyline was a very intense one, especially in the final two minutes, and I'm going to have to give it to Skyline in being able to come back all those points in the declining minutes, of a somewhat one-sided game, not to discredit Skyline at all, because the game was hardfought on both sides. And if it is true that Skyline really was missing a crucial d-stick and attackman, then so be it, the matchup will be even more heated in the playoffs. But, as "T-town" said, a wins a win, but you also have to admit that the game was rather one-sided, having at the beginning of the 4th Tacoma up by four or five points, and true, they nearly fell apart in the last minutes, but thats only because they have never had to close a game before so far this season having blown away all the other opponents. Good luck to both teams, and I hope next game, both teams will be fully prepared.

good point dragons. Everybody in D2 is in for a reason. We are mostly all young teams that don't have very many upperclassmen. And whenever those teams get more experienced they move up to D-1. (look at issaquah)

This forum makes me embarrassed to be a part of D2. The forum isn't here for you guys to trash talk eachother or anything, it's here so that people can CIVILLY voice their opinions and have discussions with the other lacrosse players in the state. I really am embarrassed and ashamed that you guys make posts like that. You just make yourself, teammates, coaches, and actually all of Division 2 look like amateurs.

Skyline did not impress us at all. For how much they talked I expected more out of them. But i was wrong they were just another first year program struggling. Finally, Skyline needs to grow up and respect the fact that they lost. A wins a win. Come out with more intensity and do not overlook Tacoma anymore.

We (skyline) just played tacoma in our exhibition game and the final score was 8-7 tacoma. Their team definitely hustles and they have a few key players.

Tacoma is lucky to be where they are. If they were in any other conference they would be a .500 team. Skyline will blow them out on monday

Tacoma is not about luck. They are a well-coached, cohesive TEAM that has all the parts necessary for a DII championship. Oh, and by the way, did you know that the Wigboldy boys played on the New York Sec IX champion lacrosse team last year that went undefeated in the regular season? Watch out - it's put up time Skyline.

You will definitely be surprised. Sounds to me like you haven't seen them play. I'll admit, the conference isn't super strong, but you could say the same for most of the top teams. It seems like there are one or two good teams in each conference, and then a huge drop off.

I don't think Skyline will blow them out, but I do think that Skyline will win. Both teams seem to have solid defenses, but Skyline has definately had the harder schedule so far. My prediction is...7 - 4 Skyline.

"dont over look eastlake"... we'll see when lynnwood meets eastlake this year, lynnwood will take them out no matter where we play them. We will take out any team we play, 2-10 last year...12-0 this year!

Their D is amazing and they have solid Mids who get the job done. They not only have one good Mid, but a whole freaking line. No one can stop Chris, Ken, and Scott! Tacoma's a force to be recond with!

Tacoma's horrible! Im not on skyline but i watched the game in the stands. Skyline played their worst game of the year, no offense to them, but Skyline had a jv player on their second line and their third line was all jv players! Tacoma couldnt even put two passes together. And two of Skyline's all-star freshaman were sick and gone. And Skyline didnt have 5 varsity people! Tacoma was terrible. None of them could go left! Skyline will go to the D2 championships, for sure
