????

how would issaquah of 2005 be the best team to come out of washington, if they were beaten (twice) by mercer of 2005?

Longest streak

Didnt bainbridge back in the day have like the longest win streak for championships?

true but that doesnt mean anything

when bainbridge won "back in the day" lacrosse was just starting in washington. The real days of lax in WA started after 2000 when more schools had programs

no...

if you had seen some of the teams that BI had along with some of the players you would know that those teams were legit. i agree that the skill level of the state as a whole has gone up since 2000, but that doesnt discredit BI's streak. some of theire teams could still beat some of the top teams today.

BHS

B.E.L.L.E.V.U.E!!!

haha! ;D

expand poll

i think this poll needs to be expanded; There should be more BI teams from there long run of titles, and the MI team that took it away from them in 01 or 02 should definently be on the poll. However, of the four teams above, i give it to BI over Mercers team. That BI team totally dominated all the competition; Mercer was dominant as well but not as much as the 03 BI team was

expand?

i think you make a good point about including some of the other BI teams, perhaps the 2000 team w/ Kelten Johnson, Ben Blackey, Mike Penn, Peter VanderHoek, Travis Eliason, etc. This team was a great team to watch play. As far as the 2001 MI team that ended the steak, they dont belong up there. the BI team they beat was not that strong in comparison to years previous, and recently. Although they did have a strong core of players, BI 2000 or 2003 could have handled them without breaking a sweat.

2003

There is not question that BI has been taken down a few pegs since 2003. But what we must understand is that they dominated the late 90's and early 2000's. Yes mercer came away with some victories and they were a very tough competitor. But if you want to see how dominate BI really was, look at the goal totals. not to mention they attempted not to run up scores that year by starting freshman occasionally and playing pass in the 4th quarters.

Lakeside 89

Of the old school teams this one was the definite winner. That team sent players to Div I and Div III colleges where they were good contributors, captains and points leaders.

Very different era, but still a great team of the old school. Very hard to compare the 80's with the 00's since styles are radically different... titanium was only used by the military and doctors. Leather and wood and 50 pound helmets ruled the day.

just a thought

It wont be mercer and BI for long

1989?

None of us could have seen a game and knew what was going on in 1989. Can anyone tell me about them?

I am the best lacrosse player in the Northwest, if not the nation.
