Hey bro, this is Most valuable PLAYER, not team results. Ive talked to many defensemen (very good), and they say Vander Hoek is the only player they never knew how to play True D against because he knew how to counter every move they did. Id give it to drew flemming, playing two positions and insuring a solid clear on every GB.
Hey for all you Garfield Players, do you last year when one of your players was coming down the field, if i recall right trying to dodge, and Drew flemmings Poke check was so square, it hit him like 200 pounds and the guy fell on his back??? Ref called a sympathy flag, best defensive move I have ever seen, period.
Best Player on Best Team?
I think you ought to at least have Kevin Mahoney's name on the ballot. He only led the state champs in scoring last year. But of the people on the list, you gotta give it to Chris or Ben. Vanderhoek had an incredibly productive year, but his team didn't even make the finals.
MVP
I dont see how you can rationalize Chris or Ben being the MVP last year. sure vanderhoeks team didnt make the finals, but they got to the semi's and lost in OT. BI was on a down year that year as well, so imagine what they would have been like without Dave's 6-something points per game. just because a team makes the finals doesnt mean that team has the MVP. its most valuable player, not team. most valuable to his team and vanderhoek was no doubt that. chris was a great player and deserved AA but the MVP has to go to vanderhoek. if you dont believe me try to score 106 points with entire defenses keying on you. then come back and post your reply.
Its Craigh Cornelius not
Its Craigh Cornelius not Gregg. He was disrespected and didn't even make first team last season.

I agree
I agree with Jake here, Craigh might have been one the fastest players in the league for a long time. He also had great stick skills and defensive capabilities.
drew flemming
Probably the best defensive player to come out of curtis in years and one of the best in the state. He deserved to be on first team and he definetly did not get the recognition he deserved. He carried curtis defense last year and could could handle most the other players on this poll one on one. Great speed, stick, and smart player.
