Looking for a College club coach
Submitted by afalcone1518 on Tue, 2009-02-17 22:15.
Hello Coaches,
I am a player for the New EWU Lacrosse club. We are just starting now and we are getting our stuff together so that we can compete, unfortunately we missed to deadline for the PNCLL season for 2009. I am just wondering where would be the best place to start looking for a coach, we are required to have one for next season, but even if we weren't I believe it is beneficial to have one anyways. Can I get any help or advise on this subject?
thanks

Congrats on forming a club team there in Cheney. It is true that you will need to have an adult, non-playing coach to gain admittance to the PNCLL. But in truth you would not have been admitted for this season even if you HAD made the Annual Meeting -- you will have to compete in exhibition games for at least one season first, and possibly for two full years beforehand.
Feel free to contact me personally if you would like to discuss your program, I serve on the PNCLL Executive Board and would be happy to help mentor the EWU team along until it is truly ready to apply for membership to the MCLA and the PNCLL. My e-mail and phone number can be found on the Contacts link on pncll.com.
