Speed Bump
Submitted by jamison on Tue, 2010-02-16 17:26.What’s up everyone? It’s been two weeks since you last heard from me and a lot has happened since week 4 in Colorado. It has been and continues to be quite an experience being a part of this team as we hit the middle of the 2010 NLL season. Standing at 6-1, coming off our first loss of the season, the guys will try and prepare for the meat of our schedule and without question the most important game we have had thus far.
UW Lacrosse PAC-10 Tourney Recap
Submitted by walax on Mon, 2010-02-15 16:10.Seattle, Wa. – U-Dub’s Lacrosse Team had the honor of hosting the PAC-10 Shootout this year and 6 teams descended upon the IMA field to square off for one game each day creating 3 games of action for some excellent lacrosse action. Unfortunately due to WALAX scheduling conflict, we’re were only able to provide coverage for Saturday’s games, starting at 1pm, Oregon State University was hosted to University of South Carolina, the middle game had Oregon University as the home team against U-Cal, Berkley at 4pm, and finally UW squared off against Stanford at 7pm. If you weren’t there you missed some great action, but don’t fret there is plenty of lacrosse action continuing this season. Here’s how things roll out on the first day of the shootout.
Notes from the Pac-10 Shootout
Submitted by BBowker on Sun, 2010-02-14 20:34.SEATTLE,WA- Sporadic rain showers pelted the teams of the 2010 Pac-10 Shootout. Every so often the sun would peak its rays through the clouds brightening up the field and the campus of the University of Washington. It makes you think what an extraordinary place this is to play lacrosse. In recent years, Washington has become a hot bed for the sport; several players have been recruited by top college programs and the Washington Stealth currently rank no. 1 in the National Lacrosse League. This is the first time the University of Washington was the host team for the tournament.
Rohrbach Report: Working Harder Than Anyone Else
Submitted by walax on Fri, 2010-02-12 17:49.
We are done with our spring tryouts and I am pretty impressed with the level of intensity our squad has shown so far. Everyone is focused and ready to defend the League title again this year. This season will be much different than previous years. We lost a lot of talent and only have 3 returning starters. We lost a few all Americans and the League MVP, so for most teams it would be a down year, and that's what everyone is expecting.
