2008 Washington Games
If you haven't heard of the 2008 Washington Games it's only a matter of time. Overseen by the Seattle Sports Commission and in association with The Evergreen State Amateur Athletic Council, the Washington Games are aimed at promoting health and fitness through Olympic style sporting events throughout Washington during the month of July. Lacrosse is one of 22 sports taking part in the 2008 Washington Games.
Along with Lacrosse, the Washington games will see competitions in the following sports: archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, extreme sports, fencing, figure skating, golf, gymnastics, karate, rowing, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis, track and field, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling. In 2009 the number of sports is expected to increase dramatically. Thousands of athletes will be taking place competitions between 10th and 20th July.
Walax is extremely proud to be working with the SSC to produce the Washington Lacrosse Games. During this first year of the games we are focusing on the growth within the youth boys arena and will be hosting a one day 5-8th grade tournament in July 12th at Marymoor Park.
