Lynnwood Surpasses 2004 Win Total!

Headline News

What a week for the Lynnwood Tigers Varsity program! With wins over both Stanwood and North County, the Lynnwood Tigers went to 3-0… surpassing their total wins for 2004 of only 2 wins.

Lynnwood’s high octane offense dismantled Stanwood with a score of 19-4 and defeated North County 14-2. All-State hopeful, Senior Casey Bloomquist had a total of 19 points in the two games while Sophomore Attack, Sean Girgus, registered 14 points. Sophomore Attack, Curtis Wisser, also contributed in both games with 10 points. Lynnwood players are very excited about achieving their third victory, however, they are very focused on what they believe will be our biggest game in our 2 years against Snohomish on Tuesday.

Coach Girgus says "Lynnwood players have made it their personal goal to absolutely be the best at ground balls and out-hustling their opponants. I personally believe that our Middies, led by Senior Alex Burns are the hardest working group in the league, and are the reason our Attackers are so successful. Our defense is another reason we have been so successful… these guys are flat out AWESOME. Sophomore defenseman Rob Love and Senior, Luke St. Marie and Freshman Glade Hall are about as sure as “The Great Wall”.

"We take pride in our “Blue Collar” type of play and are looking to continue that throughout the entire season. We’re just having a lot of fun this year and hopefully we can make a playoff run at the end-of-the-year."
