Should it or not. If so in what timeframe?

As soon as possible
I think it should go WIAA as soon as we can, it would help washington lacrosse get bigger and better in my opinion
WIAA
I heard something about lax becoming a WIAA sport in '08. I'm not shure if its true though
I'm a player from Wisconsin
I'm a player from Wisconsin and I saw this forum type thing on the internet when I was looking for something else on the web. I thought i'd become apart of it because I totally agree with it becoming a school sport. Here in Stoughton, WI the school does nothing for us. We don't even get to use a field. I think it should be a school sport because alot of the sports we have here totally blow. And we aren't a bad lacrosse team. It's also the fastest growing sport in the country so I think it would be smart to make it a school sport. The only reason it isn't a school sport is because they won't have a girls sport to like make the guys and girls even. I'm just bummed because it costs so much to play.
EDIT: This should probably go as a new comment. Sorry about the mix up..
Eligibility
Eligibilty is another issue here. When we (Vashon) moved up to D1 our requirements changed...this could be a problem for a lot of players even though it really isn't for most
Immediately
Because lacrosse is a true varsity sport at some schools and should be varsity at others. The leagues already try to keep WIAA scheduling we might as well go ahead and have WIAA be the governing agency.
WIAA Sanctioning
Yes - now. What is the downside?
also
many of the seattle area teams draw players from multiple schools, and may not be able to do this as an "official" varsity sport.
not yet, not yet
Going WIAA COULD possibly lose a lot of teams in the state due to a law called TITLE IX(9). It basically means that schools that are sacntioned must offer an equal amount of sports for boys and girls, and some areas where there are boys teams, there are no girls teams to go with it. SO it will be tough, along with other implications as well.
