Final chance to tryout for Seattle Starz

Wow, the first Seattle Starz tryouts took place on Sunday and took the coaches by surprise.  Starz director Fred Wilmot noted that he was surprised by the high level of talent this year compared to last years tryouts. "From the 5/6 grade to the Elite tryouts, there was a dramatic improvement in individual skills.  Its obvious how dedicated some of these kids have become at such young ages"

Over 175 kids turned out on Sunday for spots on the 5/6, 7/8, HS and Elite squads. With this years HS Elite squad coming in 2nd at the Sonoma Shootout, losing out only to a team of Maryland Elite College Freshmen and the number of Starz players being recruited by D1, DII and DIII college programs around the country it's no wonder that the turnout has been high.

Fred and his coaching staff have one final date scheduled for those unable to attend the first tryouts and those asked to come back for another look. Tryouts take place at Mercer Island Stadium from 10-6pm on September 10th.  To book your spot at these tryouts, please be sure to please email us as a limited number of spots are available.
