The Vandals get the ball on offense, and get a shot but it doesn't produce. At 6:23, the Vandals force a clear, and turn it over to Carlton, who finds Murphy, and he dunks it as Fischesser comes out. Skyline leads 2-0. Wiley gets possession, and ducks underneath a check, before finishing below the crossbar, number 3.

The vandals are on their heels for the first part of the next quarter, before a transition fast break sees a feed to Martin and another Geiger finish to tie it up. Back and forth down to the last 3:27, and Maple Valley will call a time out to plan a clear. Maple Valley will hold onto the ball until 2:46, when a hard pressure defense forces the ball out of bounds. The Spartans get possession and a man-up inside the last minute, which may give them the last shot. Skyline has two opportunities as the end of the half approaches but no goal. As time expires, Skyline still has the ball, and three seconds of penalty time.
Skyline will start right off the whistle. Murphy drives the cage, and scores as the penalty releases. Skyline will take this half 4-3, and have to watch Curtis play Skyline.

Now, if Maple Valley defeats Curtis by 4 or more, Skyline will be 8 seed. If Curtis wins, Skyline will be 8th seed.
