Championship guesses for D1/D2

What teams do you think will be playing against each other in the championships for both divisions?

my guess

I think it will be tacoma or eastlake. lynnwood has some really good shooters but if you play tight defence they can be shut down. lynwoods defence wasnt bad but they make a lot of mistakes and if you can capitalize on them you can beat them. I think Eastlake has a more solid team and Tacoma I dont know a lot about but they probably have a more sold team to.

D2

i think Lynnwood has a shot at taking the title, they have already proven themselves with the win over skyline 6-3

Skyline?

Beating another team who really hasn't beaten anyone isn't my idea of proving anything. I must say, I haven't seen Lynnwood play yet and they seem to have some potent scorers, but dropping 20 on the likes of Mukilteo and Stanwood doesn't give me much to go on. You notice that when they play a team with a winning record, their offensive production drops considerably. That being said, they still don't have a mark in the "L" column. Like I said earlier in this topic, I think they could easily make it to the finals. Of the 3 undefeated teams in DII, Eastlake has had more quality wins. They've beaten 3 playoff-bound teams. Lynnwood and Tacoma have beaten two each. It will really depend on where those three conference leaders get placed in the bracket. Two of them will have to play each other before the finals (if things go as I predict). So, whichever one of them gets lucky enough to not have one of the other two in their side of the bracket will have an easier path to the championship game. My guess is Lynnwood and Tacoma are going to end up playing in a semifinal. Could be a great game because Tacoma's defense has been very good. It may come down to who controls the midfield. But as for the ultimate DII Champ, I'd have to put my money on Eastlake.

Pretty much the same can be

Pretty much the same can be said for Eastlake in terms of production against good teams. They dropped 7 on Skyline and only 6 on Overlake the first time around (10 the 2nd looks pretty solid though). With Tacoma, it doesnt seem like they have had much in terms of good teams to play. The biggest challenge they've had is Puyallup, who lost to N.County and got well beaten (15-6) by Tacoma the first time. Lynnwood is comparable to Eastlake; 6-3 against Skyline and 9-3 against Snohomish, similar scores against the same teams. In terms of teams played and points put up both Lynnwood and Eastlake look solid. Tacoma's schedule doesnt have the challenge of the two other undefeated teams but they will still be a contender. Speculation is great, but at this juncture with the differences in schedules it is too hard to compare the teams, it will all come down to who comes through when it counts and how teams match up. Talking about proving something, that really won't occur until Lynnwood, Tacoma, and Eastlake meet each other, before then no one will play a team that has beaten a solid team so Skyline and Snohomish are the next best teams for comparison.

About right

The big three are Lynnwood, Tacoma and Eastlake. All three have about the same quality wins as the other, Snohomish and skyline round out the other possible contenders, because if either of those two teams put it together all game, trouble could be lurking. Also, the wild card race is still going to be crazy, as it looks like there is going to be three teams (one from each league) that are going to finsih 8-4 to tyr to get the 7th and 8th seeds. exciting stuff, good luck to all. now who is going to win the DII championship, I think Lynnwood and Eastlake will be playing for it, but Eastlake wins on experience only, maybe even so close it might go into O.T.!!!!!

D1 Champs

I'm pullin for Garfield for the upset. Snyder will lead his team to a big win.

Until he can come up big in a big game...

So far he hasn't been able to dominate in a game against the elite teams. I'm not saying that he can't (I love his game), but he's got to prove it to me during the regular season before I'll believe that he can do it in the big game.

BI

Snider is gonna choke like that last 2 times BI and garfield have met, BI wins 13 title.

D2 Champs

I would have to say Eastlake over Lynwood by 2 or 3 points. Lynwood isn't that hard to stop. Just cut off their give and go, and you should be fine.

If I were a betting man...

BI over Garfield in DI, although if a team like Issaquah gets hot and finds a way to shut down Snider like BI has, they could make a run.

DII is tough to call. There's a huge separation between good teams and er... not-so-good teams. I haven't seen all the teams play, but it would be hard not to put Lynwood in the finals against maybe Tacoma or Eastlake. It really depends on what happens with the seeding. Skyline could make a run, but so could Snohomish or Klahowya. Can you tell I'm undecided at this point?

definetly garfield over

definetly garfield over bainbridge in the final

BI

Im gonna go with BI over garfield for the title. the last two times they have squared off BI has shut down snider, and won the game. I predict BI will do the same en route to another title.

...

umm bainbridge d1 lynnwood d2 already pretty much won, so yeah good post~

idk

i dont think you could really say that lynwood has won it all seein that they havent had a real challenge game cause all the teams they have played are like 0-7 and 2-5 so i think we should hold judgemnt till the play teams wit records like theirs

?

i dunno. lynnwood proved themselves by beating snohomish. i think skyline plays lynnwood next week. it should be a good game,

I would say bainbridge and

I would say bainbridge and issy for d1 and d2 eastlake and skyline.

D1

Bainbridge and Garfield or Bainbridge and Issaquah for D1, i dunno about D2
