Calling all DII fans
Submitted by walax on Sat, 2006-04-01 15:19.
We're working to provide more DII coverage for you but would like to hear from you about what you'd like to see. We've started the Weekly Beat, player of the week and write-ups but is there anything else?
Correspondents
Maybe you should "hire" correspondents like some of the newspapers do to report on their team. You wouldn't have to pay them much - like give them a "press pass" to the championships at Qwest Field or something like that. Spread the word through these forums, and you'll have plenty of responses from representatives from every team. It seems like there is plenty of coverage of the big DI schools, and maybe this would increase the exposure to the DII game. A lot of times the DII games are pretty exciting lacrosse. I think we've had some talent that have come through the DII programs, some of which have now moved on up to the big league (DI) like Issaquah and Garfield. Just a thought.
Great Idea - would anyone like to be a walax correspondent?
We'd love to find some lax fans to be walax correspondents and cover DII games during the current season. It doesn't mean you have to travel all over the place to cover games but if you have a team that you currently follow and are usually at their games then drop us a line. We have some great ideas of how to reward you for a few game writeups. Just email us for more info.
