August 26, 2006 - Carson, CA (August 25, 2006) – The Philadelphia Barrage topped the Boston Cannons 17-12 in the 2006 New Balance MLL semifinals at The Home Depot Center on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson, CA. Matt Striebel was named Bud Light game MVP for his six-point (5G, 1A) performance in the game. The Barrage advance to the New Balance Championship Game Sunday, which will be Philadelphia’s second appearance in the MLL Championships in team history. In 2004, the Barrage defeated the Cannons 13-11 at Nickerson field to me named the MLL Champions.

The Victoria Summer Slam is back and better than ever!  After a year off while the Juan de Fuca Fields completed their much needed renovation, the only local high caliber men's and women's tournament north of the border returns this weekend,  August 25-27 at the Juan de Fuca Velodrome.
