Something new has got to happen

Yesterday was a beautiful day and now it’s horrible again. It has actually been nice the past three days and now, yup, rain. It’s all good I’m stuck in the third story office I sit in every day atop west Seattle. You can actually see the space needle in the distance from the window in front of my desk. So I guess it’s not that bad.

I woke up this morning, sat up in bed, the usual yawn, walked into my bathroom, the usual drop. I’m sitting there thinking about what I have to do today when a spider dangles down from the side of my shower door and hangs in front of me. I was tired and really didn’t care so I just sat and watched in my morning stupor. It was almost as if he knew I was there but was going to follow through with his plans of invasion no matter what. “This guy has balls” I thought as I finished my process then proceeded to watch his. He would dangle, attach one thread then start over from a different spot in my shower (creating his web). “Not bad for a little guy” I said, I almost seemed impressed enough to let it slide and move on with my morning allowing this imposter to continue his way of life in one of my most used and glorious rooms in the house. No chance I was really gonna let that happen, if I were to allow him to stay, who’s to say more of his friends wouldn’t come and take me up on the hospitality? “CRUNCH!” as his exo skeleton gave way in the paper towel I used.

Big week this week in Fantasy, week 12 and we are preparing for the play offs. I will be sure to share with you some of my large pickups this week on Saturday night as I do every week but I will give you a couple morsels right now. Look for Nate Washington WR Steelers to put up at least 7 points tonight against the god awful Bengals (start all Steelers!!!). Again I expect Tyler Thigpen QB Chiefs to have a great outing against Buffalo at home and look for Warrick Dunn RB Tampa Bay to have at least 100 yards on the ground against Detroit………

Week 2 of the try outs down in Portland. I will let you all know how it goes Saturday night when I get back so check for the blog spot. If you don’t see anything up it will either be because I didn’t make it and I broke my computer or I was so excite I never made it home. Two extremes I know but I’m just trying to be honest here.

In other news, Jobless claims reach a 16 year high in our market, Haley Joel Osmet started acting again (who cares?) and my New York Yankees lost another starting pitcher to retirement……… Get at me if you want to see how I really feel about that.

spiders, weather and ezells

spiders are whack and truly deserve to be dealt with in a lethal fashion...but from a safe distance. spiders scare me. my stick gives me the distance and comfort i need but it can leave a smear of spider guts on the wall that can totally ruin moms new paint. the weather is, well, unfortunate at times. but you learn to find things you love about each season. i love driving at night this time of year. i think the lights look cool. and this is the time of the year when pyramid snowcap comes out. ezells is a seattle delicacy not to be squandered. back in the day kickin it, a drive over the montlake cut and up the hill was all there was in the way to some of that good old soul food.
