Laxfest Recap
June 3rd 2006- Laxfest was a great day for Washington Lacrosse to cap off a phenominal season of parity and growth with a day to celebrate it all. The event, held at Mercer Island High School, showcased the best Lacrosse talent playing Lacrosse at its highest level. It was great to see people from all ages enjoying the games.
The highlight of the event was the Boy's High School All-State game. During the halftime, Kevin Mahony of MI was crowned the fastest shot in the state at 92MPH. Also making a strong showing were the middle school games, it really shows the progression of the sport in Washington, with there being two 8th grade and two 7th grade games.
The day was capped off with the Washington Young Alumni’s taking down the Coaches for the second year in a row. Special note, the Young Alums played a depleted coaches in fairness to the coaches, but 14-3 was no laughing matter regardless of who did or did not show up.
Thank you US Lacrosse Washington Chapter for putting on a great event, we will have more details and pictures coming your way soon!
