James Anderson Leads Messiah in Defeat of Elizabethtown
Elizabethtown, PA - The Messiah Men's Lacrosse team won their third straight game defeating the Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College by a score of 14-8. Messiah improves to 3-1 in the MAC conference and 3-4 overall. Messiah jumped out to a 4-0 lead early in the first quarter and led 8-3 at half. However, Messiah was not able to pull away in the second half as E-town answered each goal with one of their own.
Eight different players scored for Messiah. Hamilton Anderson (Kirkland, WA/ Lake Washington) led the Falcons with 2 goals and 4 assists. Nick Ricucci (Germantown, MD/ Seneca Valley) added 4 goals and 1 assist in the contest. Ted Oberg (Glen Rock, PA/ Susquehannock) had 13 saves in the cage for Messiah.
James Anderson played for Eastside before graduating last year to attend Messiah. He has already become an important role-player on the team, and had six points this big conference win! Great job, Hammy.
