D2 Playoff picture

Right now on this fine Friday morning, 8 DII teams have 2 or fewer losses. The ninth, Stadium, has 4, and everyone else has 6 or more. The points that seem unsettled:

Overlake has more games remaining than most, and the same number of losses as Lake Tapps. If they win out, including beating Tapps, they bump the Titans to a wildcard, at best. But they have Tacoma tonight and Tapps Monday. Tapps beat them the last time 'round. Nothing certain there.

Tapps has Nathan Hale tonight and Overlake Monday. They can potentially fall to 5 losses, but have been playing well. On the other hand, if they win out, they could tie Nathan Hale (if Hale wins their other games) but Hale probably wins the tie-break.

Puyallup and Klahowya go into the weekend tied, but Puyallup looks to have the advantage on the schedule. These two are duking it out for second, but the loser almost certainly gets a wildcard.

Stadium is the only other team with a chance to jump up into a wildcard, with only four losses, but their schedule is a buzz saw the rest of the way, with 4 playoff contenders in 5 games. They need Tapps, Puyallup or Klahowya to hit bottom.

Some good and important games coming up all around. Fun times!
