Looking for a Serious Fall Ball Program?
Players,
What’s up? This is Coach Koesterer, the newest addition here at Walax. I hope everyone has been having a great summer and enjoying their time off and away from school. I know I did when I was younger but it’s important to keep in mind that it all ends at some point.
Seattle is a great place and I have enjoyed the views, food, people and weather since I got out here this summer. My real interests within the Northwest and the game of Lacrosse were found this June and July through Summer League and the Starz travel program. Both of which have been very productive experiences. My conclusion afterwards became impressed and enthusiastic about the athleticism and talent of current play while focused on the challenges of getting to the NEXT LEVEL.
This letter is intended to all of you who are interested in going there.
- This Fall is intended for Players that take the game seriously.
- This fall is intended for Players that are going because they want to compete against others.
- This Fall is intended for Players that want to learn and get better.
- This Fall is intended for Players that wish to have an impact when the season comes.
If you are one of these players, read on………
In attending this year’s fall campaign, or “Fall Ball”, you will be expected to raise your level of play, stay in shape and have fun all at an individual and competitive level. Coaching and playing will coincide peacefully as long as comprehension to learn and get better is present while improvement follows. Showing up late and or without proper equipment will be frowned upon but tolerated. The only person that hurts is you, the player. Showing up early, having proper equipment and being ready to go when Coach blows the whistle, will be rewarded with better discipline habits and most likely a more productive season.
I encourage both team and individual registration but believe strongly that playing before the season with teamates as opposed to other athletes can have a huge advantage at the HS and MS levels. Keep in mind that this is a chance to practice and enhance your skills physically and mentally of the game so that the season can be spent focusing on the opponent. Practice/Gametime is only an 1hr and 1/2 once a week for 8 weeks. For most, this will not be enough to stay in shape and that means working on your game outside of Fall Ball.
Enjoy the rest of the summer with your families and please be safe. I really look forward to seeing some new faces as well as the players i have worked with this summer and remain anxious to get started.
- Coach
