According to Head Coach Ben Tiller, the three were picked by the Oregon players and coaching staff following the fall lacrosse season to lead a return to national standing.
Swanson, a returning starter at goalie, and Vincent, who is entering his third year as a starter, were prep teammates at lacrosse powerhouse Mercer Island High School in Seattle. Both players transferred to Oregon after going to other schools for their first year of college. Swanson took over the crease last season and he and Vincent received 1st Team All Conference honors. The duo also had the opportunity to play in Europe this summer for Team USA West, during which time Swanson received the Best Goalie Award at the 2007 Prague Cup.
