This is Hector Rhodes writing to you from Williams College in northwestern Massachusetts. Since the first week I arrived here in September, almost all of my best friends have been on the lacrosse team. We have 15 freshmen lacrosse players, and every one of them is a great dude. Camaraderie and skill are definitely the biggest differences between high school and NCAA lacrosse – I’ve never really competed for playing time during a regular season game until now. As it stands right now, I’m expecting to get runs on the first and second offensive middie lines. My game sense gets more and more attuned to the college pace every practice and game, and every day I understand the offense better.
