WALOA Youth Referee Training
Welcome to the 2015 youth referee season. The training schedule is posted at www.waloa.info/training . The locations for field training sessions will be added when they are determined.
ALL new and returning officials are required to complete the training process. There are two classroom sessions (2/8 and 2/22) and one field training session (2/28).
All officials for youth games are also required to complete BOTH the US Lacrosse Youth Rules Test and the NFHS Rules test. The NFHS Rules test is 100 questions, open book. Download a PDF copy of the test, then use the completed test to enter the answers online.
The tests can now be accessed through your Arbiter account. Login to your account. Use the SWITCH VIEWS pull-down menu (upper right) to go to the US Lacrosse CENTRAL HUB – typically the choice at the bottom of this menu. Then on the new left menu, click Men’s Officials, then Rules Exams.
If you don’t see a US Lacrosse CENTRAL HUB available to you – it’s likely because the email address you used for your Arbiter registration does not match the email you used for your US Lacrosse membership renewal. Your email has to be exactly the same for both databases. You can fix this online at US Lacrosse in your membership area, or you can simply call US Lacrosse to have them fix it for you. Don't wait to get this fixed. The online system is the only method available to complete the required tests.
You are welcome to start taking the tests at any time – even before the first class session on 2/8. Both tests are required to be complete (PASSED) by 2/22. You can take the test multiple times online to pass.
If you have friends interested in officiating this year, please direct them to www.waloa.arbitersports.com to register for the upcoming season.
