Kennedy Catholic vs Blanchet - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS!

Coming in to this game, both Kennedy Catholic and Bishop Blanchet were looking for their first conference win. With Blanchet at 0-2 and Kennedy 0-3 in D1-Metro play, one would leave empty handed. In the first half, both teams came out firing, but it was Blanchet's shots that were hitting their mark. The Braves managed to extend a 10-2 lead with balanced scoring and strong goaltending by senior Paulo Sotero de Menezes. Dar Sleeper and Ashton Pieris of Kennedy Catholic were the only two Lancers to get on the board in the first.

After halftime, it was more of the same from Blanchet. However, Kennedy steadily improved their play throughout the game. In the fourth, Kennedy took over for some time. Junior midfielder Ashton Pieris found his shot and plenty of opportunities to use it. Unfortunately, the halftime deficit proved too difficult to overcome, as Blanchet scored the final goal of the game with just minutes to go off a Matteo Schiro cut.
Both teams' next games are away on Friday the 11th, with Blanchet meeting Nathan Hale, and Kennedy Catholic catching a ferry to play Bainbridge Island. Good luck to both teams and thanks for an exciting game!
