Issaquah vs Bellevue - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS!

Friday night, we expected a great game between Bellevue and Issaquah, and we were not disappointed.

In the first half, both teams seemed determined to play a deliberate, chess match style of game. Bellevue came out ahead in the first quarter 3-2, while Issaquah was able to even the score by halftime. Sitting at 4-4, the game appeared to be ready to open up, but neither team's defense wanted to give an inch. Issaquah fought hard in the half field for 2 goals, while their face-off unit kept momentum well on their side. Bellevue in the third came up with a great riding goal, leaving the score at 6-5 going in to the fourth. Despite a number of chances and a great deal of action, the 4th quarter never saw the ball enter the net. A 0-0 fourth led to a 6-5 final for Issaquah.

Great performances by junior midfielder Mikey Giannopolus at the x and sophomore goaltender Jordan Dondayano were a huge part of Issaquah's success. Both were instrumental in limiting Bellevue's opportunities. Senior Hank Bethke paced Bellevue with 4 points on 3 goals and 1 assist. Goaltender Cole Cansler also had a solid outing, posting 12 saves.

Great game to both teams! The regular season just got a bit more interesting...
