Eastlake vs Lake Washington - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS!

A lot was on the line last night in Sammamish. Lake Washington and Eastlake met in a regular season matchup with big post-season implications. Winning this game would give either team the inside track on the fifth and final seed in the playoffs from the DI-KingCo conference. Would the Kangs or Wolves come out on top?

This game turned out to be a tense, low-scoring affair. Eastlake came out strongest, pushing forward to a 4-2 lead in the second quarter. Lake Washington didn't panic, and worked their way back in to the game. With 6:30 left in the 4th quarter, it was all knotted up at 5-5, when the Kangs' Connor Campbell came up with a ball in transition and went coast to coast for his team's sixth goal. Eastlake put up a fight late, forcing turnovers and getting chances on goal, but they could not find net. No more goals were scored - final 6-5 Lake Washington.

This win gives Lake Washington the best chance of earning the fifth seed for the playoffs, but with a lot of season left to play, a lot can happen. Good luck to both teams and thanks for the great game!

Lake Washington was paced by sophomore midfielder Connor Campbell's four goals. Junior attackman and midfielder Jason McLean was held off the score sheet, but was huge on ground balls and other hustle plays that kept his team going. On Eastlake's side, senior midfielder and captain Chase Barlow was huge for the Wolves, and on the defensive side, goaltender Abe Escarda made a number of good stops.

Special thanks to John Edwards for the film!
