The 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Shootout – June 20th-22nd, 2014

The Washington Lacrosse Foundation is pleased to announce the 2nd annual Summer Solstice Shootout. Founded last year to give “next year’s varsity” a chance to play, this year will feature 64 teams from 3rd – 11th grade. Brackets are made up as 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th, JV and varsity. Graduated seniors are not allowed to participate and 8th graders (rising 9th graders) are required to play with the HS team. 3rd – 7th graders play with the grade they were in during the spring of 2014. This year’s tournament takes place at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, beginning at 5pm on Friday the 20th. A champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the JV and varsity finals on the afternoon of the 22nd.

Every team is guaranteed 4 games. Games consist of 2 – 25 minute halves with 2 certified officials governing play. Vendors will be on site, offering the finest lax swag. Hotel rooms for out-of-town teams will also be available at a discount.

Registration officially opens on March 1st, but teams interested in registering should contact the Washington Lacrosse Foundation right away. For that or more information please email [email protected]
