Laxon Women's Team Wins Victoria Tournament

The Victoria Tournament was located at Claremont Secondary School, just north of Victoria, B.C.. It turned out to be a gorgeous weekend with plenty of sunshine and lacrosse spirit. We arrived at the field excited to be the sole representatives of the U.S. and play against teams from Calgary, Victoria and England.

Our team consisted of a potpourri of players from the Seattle area; five high school girls came to show the seasoned players just what they're really made of, three women attending college, and the rest were a mixture of Laxon and World Cup players. Competition was good and the Washington team worked hard together resulting in an excellent output of communication and teamwork.

Needless to say, we kicked some international booty. No team came within three goals of us. We were a strong team, physically and mentally providing ourselves with a tournament win under our belts. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and look forward to future competition with our border buddies (hopefully September).
