Oregon Ducks, who will maintain
Nike relationship for uniforms, signs three-year agreement with Brine.
EUGENE, Ore. The University of
Oregon womens lacrosse program signed a three-year deal with Brine, a
national leader in lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and field hockey
equipment.
Brine will provide sticks, gloves, eye masks, balls as well as
goalies sticks and helmets. The Ducks uniforms and shoes will still
be supplied by Nike, which outfits all of Oregons 18 intercollegiate
sports.
Im excited with the partnership between Brine and Nike, first-year
Oregon coach Jen Larsen said. They are two fantastic companies that
will be supplying us with our equipment needs.
A privately-owned company, Brine, Inc. is the successor to the
original W.H. Brine Company founded in 1922. Brine started as a small
athletic equipment and uniform company, selling to private schools and
regional camps and quickly grew into a major manufacturer of lacrosse
and soccer products.
Fans can catch a glimpse of Oregons first intercollegiate lacrosse
team Oct. 29 during a scrimmage at Pap Field against a Portland club
team. The first regular season game is Feb. 12 against Stanford, also
at Pap Field. The Ducks have the only Division I womens lacrosse
program in the Northwest.
