The US Lacrosse Washington Chapter announced today that it has donated 50 new lacrosse sticks to the newly formed Spokane Lacrosse Association headed by Chris Shogan who is forming HS and youth teams for the 2002 season.

Fueled by the success of Lacrosse at Gonzaga University, HS and Youth Lacrosse is looking to begin for the 2003 season in Spokane. The goal of the US Lacrosse Washington Chapter is to have statewide participation of lacrosse and Spokane is a key target for our efforts. Local leaders are holding clinics and formation meetings this summer in hopes of fielding teams for the 2003 season. If you are interested in playing or better yet, helping to begin this effort, please contact Chris Shogan at [email protected]  .  Please contact Chris if you have spare gear or other ideas on how to help get lacrosse started on the Eastern Parts of Washington.
