Womens Club recap provided by capt. Vinca Swanson
We rocked.
Nationals was awesome! We were 2-3,
beating New England on Saturday and Upper Atlantic Sunday morning. U.A. was
not pleased we won. Only one game (against Great Lakes) did we get pummeled
3-11. That team was stacked with several world cup players. We played
against Kellie Amonte, Tori Wellington, Danielle Gallagher. We could have
played against Erin Geiger, but she broke her foot the day before.
We lost to Pacific by 2 goals-though, that
was a rally game where we were down several goals and then picked it up to
make a tight second half. They pulled away in the last few minutes (7-9).
We were two West coast teams playing each other insisting the officials call
our colors Foam and Water instead of green and tie-eyed.
The games were so fast, and everyone played
so well! We were in better shape and mentally strong. Lots of love
throughout.
