The Issaquah Lacrosse Club has made substantial progress since our team was formed in November.  Each player has shown tremendous improvement and our teamwork was quite evident in todays victory over Snohomish.

Without question, Coaches Brandon Fortier and Jordan Bayly have contributed greatly to our teams success.  They are both truly dedicated to our team and everyone has appreciated the time and effort they devote each day.

Having played college level lacrosse, I can attest to their in-depth knowledge of lacrosse, skill level, and ability to coach.  I certainly could not have brought the team to where we stand today without the help of Brandon and Jordan!

For all of these reasons, and with consensus of the Board of the Issaquah Lacrosse Club, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Coach Brandon Fortier to the position of Head Coach.  Brandon has my full support to lead our team and I know players feel the same way.  Please congratulate Brandon when you see him.

I will remain president and chairman of the Club and will be very active as a coach as well.  I enjoy working with both Brandon and Jordan as we continue to build the teamwork between us.  As a coach, I will focus most on giving players reinforcement when they are being their best, and helping each player understand how to improve their skill.  For me, the greatest thrill of all is watching when everything comes together, as it did today.

I will also take this opportunity to thank the members of our Board Mark Rossman, Joel Edwards, Tom Cohen and Marc Matusiefsky, and a long list of many other parents and individuals who have worked on special projects and committed themselves to supporting our Club.  Having enthusiastic players is not enough.  Your support makes the difference!

The Issaquah Lacrosse Club has developed a solid foundation that I expect will continue for years to come.
