Rohnert Park, CA, April 27:  The Western Collegiate Lacrosse League announced that Brian Johnson, Junior co-captain for the Sonoma State University Seawolves and former standout for the Maple Valley Lacrosse Club Vandals, has been named to the WCLL "A" Division's First Team at midfield.  The USLIA poll 2nd ranked Seawolves have an overall record of 17 - 1 with Johnson contributing 31 goals and 8 assists for 39 total points.  Johnson has teamed this year with former Vandals middie, now turned attackman, Travis Cornelison (16 goals and 13 assists for 29 total points) to lead SSU to the WCLL semi-finals April 30 against UC San Diego, having disposed of Santa Clara in the quarter finals 20 - 2.  Johnson was on the Maple Valley 1999 and 2000 Washington State Boys "B" Division Championship teams, joined with Cornelison on the 2000 championship squad, and together were named to All-State teams over their high school careers.  They hope to repeat their championship performance on the national stage when they lead the SSU Seawolves into the USLIA National Tournament to be held in Blaine, MN starting May 10.  Brian is the son of Craig and Vonnie Johnson of Maple Valley.
Keep up the good work Brian!
