The University of Washington and Simon Fraser
show early signs of being offensive powerhouses. Simon Fraser holds
four of the top six scoring positions after the first couple games, and UW
holds four of the top ten scoring positions into the first few weeks of the
season. SFU has five games under their belt- undefeated in both
division and non-division play, while UW has a 3-1 record after a four-game
start. In first place, SFU's Christians holds 23 points, last years
first choice A division All-star Attackman will be up to his usual antics.
His teammate, Reelie, follows him just six points behind and is a relative
newcomer to the leader board. Eli Sonkin, former MI standout and
honorable mention all-star last year, leads UW followed by teammate Eric
Weitz a first team all-star midfielder one year ago. Rounding out the
field is Freshman Adam Sangoerzan, former Seattle Prep Standout and High
School All-American rings in at number eight with his new step into the
Attack role. Like all things, both teams have yet to play each other to
decide who rules the roost, but each have come out victorious in the big
games to date. Washington defeated Cal 10-9 two weeks back and SFU
defeated Oregon this last weekend 7-5. See these two battle it out in
BC at the Coquitlam Town Center on March 5th to see who will continue to
lead the pack... gametime is 7pm! |
