King County Active Sports and Youth Recreation Commission Seeks Your
Input |
| |
|
| |
The King
County Active Sports and Youth Recreation Commission strongly encourages your
participation, and that of representatives of your recreation organization, at public
meetings that are vital to shaping the future of King County Parks.
There are already several planned field
closures for the upcoming '04 HS season that are affecting a number of local
Seattle schools. Our opinion is vital to keeping parks open and building
more playfields for more recreational activities.
Details of these meetings are outlined below, along with a
link to an online survey for people unable to attend.
King County Parks Comprehensive Plan Update
King County Parks is holding 4 public
meetings to gain input from those who use parks, pools, trails and natural
lands. Help KC continue it's
transition to a new way of doing business. King
County Parks is updating its comprehensive plan, which
contains the general policy guidelines for the operation of County
parks. As part of this process, KC would
like to hear from you.
- Hear how Parks' new way of doing business
is working.
- Provide input on how funding is
directed.
- Tell us what you want to see as we
continue to cut costs and pursue new revenue generating initiatives.
