The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k +1.5M fun run welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and of all ages. Events take place all over the world, on or near September 11th, and are 100% organized by local community volunteers. It is the perfect opportunity for your community to personally come out and thank your local veterans, their families, and first responders in an annual, fun, and family friendly environment! Team Washington had one major goal for the summer of 2013, to combine the state’s best high school and youth lacrosse players with our region’s best high school lacrosse coaches, then send them back east to see how they would fair against the country’s best players and programs. The expansion of Team Washington from one team to five total was a big step, with each rising class having their own team, with an additional Frosh/Soph group. Our coaching staff, unquestionably the best in the state, has won every Washington state championship for the past thirteen years, while also producing hundreds of All-State, All-American and NCAA lacrosse players.

The Washington Lacrosse Foundation is proud to announce the 10th annual Space Needle Shootout. This year the tournament will be held on Friday, December 6th through Sunday, December 8th at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington. There will be four divisions of at least 16 teams again this year. As always, the Shootout provides the chance for high school teams, town teams and all-star teams to compete from around the Northwest and further.

Congratulations to Eric Haehl on his verbal commitment to The University of Richmond where he will play at the NCAA Division I level. Eric made his commitment to Coach Dan Chemotti while on a trip with Team Washington.  Eric’s Bellevue lacrosse career is littered with championships. While in 7^th and 8^th grade Eric won back to back championships with the Blue Team, scoring the OT championship game winner in his 8^th grade season. While with the Varsity Eric has won two State Championships and was honored with All State recognition in his Junior year. We had an opportunity to ask Eric a few questions about his experiences. Another season in the books and 2013 marked the first time the WHSBLA action spread past Memorial Day as the Championships took place on June 1^st.  In case you missed our 250+ tweets, there was some pretty good lacrosse played league wide!  In the end, Nathan Hale and Bellevue stood on top.
