Bellevue vs Lakeridge (OR) - VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS!

Last Saturday night at the Northwest Invitational, an exhibition game, with state pride on the line, took place between Bellevue and Lakeridge, last year's state champions from Washington and Oregon respectively. In perfect weather for a Pacific Northwest showdown, Bellevue came out firing on all cylinders. Strong play in every aspect of the game allowed Bellevue to extend a 10-2 lead at halftime. Ohio State University bound senior attackman Hank Bethke, along with his brother Joe Bethke, were a huge part of this offensive explosion, finishing the game with 8 and 4 points respectively.

After halftime, a rally was needed. In the second half, Lakeridge answered the call - they looked like a new team. Clearly, many defensive adjustments had been made, as Bellevue had a much harder time generating quality shots on goal. Along with a few big saves, and much stronger offensive play, Lakeridge showed they belong, winning the second half 4-3. Unfortunately, it couldn't outpace the Wolverines' first half domination. Washington won this round!

Final Bellevue 12, Lakeridge 9.
