The University of Washington Men’s Lacrosse Program announced their 2011 Season Schedule today that includes match-ups against some of the league’s best programs such as Colorado State, Simon Fraser, Florida State and Florida. With many games against never before played opponents including the University of Arizona and University of Central Florida, the Huskies look forward to the fresh competition.

The 2011 Husky Program is highlighted by the return of numerous All-Conference players and a diverse recruiting class representing California, Oregon, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio and Washington. Remarking on the schedule and incoming class, Coach Stew Kerns said, “We are excited for the opportunity to compete against the great schools in the state of Florida, take part in the PAC-10 Shootout, and match-up against the strong programs of the PNCLL. Our team goals are set and we are excited for the difficult road that lies ahead. I look forward to helping our program develop during the 2011 season with the great group of student-athletes and natural leaders that we have.” Along with welcoming the incoming freshman, the Husky coaching staff is joined by new offensive coordinator Matt Althauser.
On the schedule this fall is a scrimmage against Western Washington University taking place November 13th at 2pm in Bellingham and the annual Alumni Game on November 23rd.
