For the past eight years, the Hawaii Invitational has been an event with Big Aloha and Big Lacrosse!!!  This year’s tournament promises to have more of the same!

The games will be played in Kapiolani Park in Waikiki, Oahu, undoubtedly one of the best lacrosse locations in the World!  Kapiolani Park is at the foot of Diamond Head, a magnificent volcanic crater, and is adjacent to the ocean and Kaimana Beach.  Our goal is for everyone to enjoy both exciting lacrosse and a fantastic vacation in Paradise, and with the tournament centered at Kapiolani Park, we should once again be successful in achieving this goal.

As usual, we have several events planned (see below list) to help everyone experience the Aloha of Hawaii.  Things will officially get underway with a Kick-Off Party at the Hard Rock Café on Friday night.  Every week, Friday night at the Hard Rock is one of the biggest gigs in town, and we will be in the catbird seat as we will have the entire back lanai reserved.  One of the other big gigs in Honolulu every week is the Sunday Sunset party at Duke’s Canoe Club on the beach in Waikiki.  We will be in the catbird seat for this celebration as well as we will have the entire poolside area, including tables and bar, reserved for our Aloha Party.

Of course, no tournament would be successful without good lacrosse, and as past years have shown, there will be plenty of that at the ’99 Hawaii Invitational.  For the past several years, many of our participants have been former World Team Players, NCAA National Champions and Collegiate All-Americans, including:  Gary Gait, Rodney Tapp (Team Canada ’98), Kevin Finneran (Team USA ’98), Jake Bergey (MILL, All-American), Lindsey Dixon (Team USA ’94), Zoo (Team Canada ’94), Adam Mueller (MILL), Glenn Miles (Team USA ’90)…..  As an established eight year old tournament, the level of lacrosse at this year’s tournament should be no different than in the past.

Finally, we strongly recommend that you spend at least a week here enjoying the many great things that Hawaii has to offer, such as surfing, scuba diving, parasailing, mountain biking, hiking, golf….  In fact, one of our club members owns “Hawaii Outdoor Adventures”  and would be happy to set you up with deals on many of the above activities.  Note, however, that each year many participants can only come out for the tournament weekend; based on their experiences, we assure you that even if you can only stay for the tournament weekend, you will be extremely happy that you came!

We Hope to See You in November!!!

Aloha Kakou!!!!
