Fit For Lax - Plyometric Exercises

Now that most of you have begun your lacrosse seasons, you all should be able and ready to increase production of  your muscular power overall. One great way to achieve this is through plyometric training. AS A PRECAUTION, because plyometric training has received little scientific study, sets, rep counts and even the frequency in which you are performing the exercise, should be monitored!

ALWAYS WARM-UP Prior to your workout routines. Workouts should usually consist of low intensity, dynamic movements similar in the style of those exercises.

Those of us that maybe just beginning to get involved with weight training, should gradually build up the intensity to minimize the risk of injury. Therefore, ALL programs, should gradually progress from lower intensity drills to more advanced exercises. Remember, when taking part in plyometric exercises, the number of actual exercises should more often than not, be kept to a minimum too.
